Reflection 2 God is just too merciful, I know a lot of us would be wondering why the bad things happening are still going on, so bad that people are brutally murdered for the sake of professing Christ, my heart just breaks… This is a part 2 of Reflection . As grotesque as this may sound; I went on Youtube and for some reason I started checking all the past ISIS beheadings, I am telling you, I broke down and started crying; I just told God “forgive me father because I haven’t done enough”. Christians in the Middle East; their heads are literally being placed on a stake and decapitated, for what? Just because they love God and profess His name One of the interviews on CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) really caught my heart. A widow, her husband was part of the 21 male Christians in Egypt that ISIS beheaded, she narrated; “ we hadn’t seen him in two days and we were so worried, later that day we were shown a video of their heads being cut off, we ...

REFLECTION

Image
Have you ever had time to interact with a person inundated in sin? There is just one thing you will find out; which is how myopic (short-sighted) their hearts are… they have no clue what life is like on the sin-free zone. I decided to write this today not because my life is a 100 but because there is a need for everyone pressing for that crown of glory to always keep in mind that heaven is real! Jesus is coming soon! My lovely sister Morenike sent me a broadcast today talking about today’s youth and how we claim to love God but clearly put Him aside to do our ‘stuff’ and pick Him up again when we need Him. Jesus is not an option He is a necessity. You literally need God to get by every day, God is love. His rain falls on both the just and the unjust, His arms are open for you to come in anytime, my friend, I find it hard to picture a life without God; there is absolutely no point living. We talk about heaven and eternity all the time but you know what? Only ...

Food For Thought

No parallels I was just discussing with my mom few minutes ago about the attack in Orlando, Florida. That was a complete heinous act and I feel very sad, I pray God grants the family the fortitude to bear the loss. It’s possible some people might say the greater number of people who died belonged to the LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender) community.  Well, friend I want you to know that the same God who made you made this same people; they were made in His image and He loves them as much as He loves you. The difference here is you’ve seen the light but they are yet to. The saddest thing here is the fact that this people never got to accept Christ (am deeply saddened); if they had known that was going to be their last night here on earth before going to forever-land I know they would have accepted Jesus. These were great people who made wrong choices. Death is a really creepy topic to talk about but the truth is people are dying every day. Th...

A PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

Image
A PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE I remember vividly sitting up stage with my very good friend Tosin and another girl in church in front of a crowd of over a hundred and twenty as we spoke on this subject “a purpose driven life”. We were around the ages of eleven and twelve then, I think I was twelve at that time; this subject sounded really ambiguous then but after much teaching and breaking into bits by our teachers we had it at our finger tips. Trust me, the delivery was great. Now, here we are six years later and I’m writing about this same subject-“a purpose driven life”. Personally, this is one of those topics I learnt in church in my early years that established a latent cognitive domain of its own in my brain. So, what’s that one thing you learnt early while growing up that stuck with you? (While you are at it let us get right into the subject). What is A PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE? The caption explicitly explains the whole subject; it is a life driven by purpose-simpl...
