Am I Ready??

This world we live in is completely void and empty. All of the happiness is just a facade; the real happiness is actually up there in heaven. I am not writing one of those impulsive post- I am writing with a heavy heart, ever wondered what it will be like on the other side? Or if you’ll make that team that will be in heaven? I certainly know that very few people will be interested in this post- my goal is simple; I want you to assess yourself.
A 15 year old boy just passed recently, I mean he is no more on earth, I tell you am shocked. We use to have tutorials together, we were never really friends coz I was older but I knew him and now he’s passed on, wow! I just can’t help thinking if he made it.
It literally touched me to my bone marrow; I pray God fills that space in his parent and siblings heart. Maybe you know someone who has passed it can be very shocking but you know what? It can’t be disputed that there is a better home over there.
This made me realize that there is absolutely nothing on this side of life that should hold me to the sideline. I am just an ordinary steward of everything I have; the clothes, shoes even as little as my phone, I will certainly give account of all of it. I want to make heaven  I don’t know about you but that’s where I want to be and anything short of that is…( I don’t even want to think about it).
Sin is one thing God hates so much and the devil knows, so, he just looked for a way to get through to man which he did through Eve. So we had a world whose default state was sin. From then on, anyone born was born into complete sin. God in His infinite mercy looked at you and I and thought to Himself; how can I let all this children perish? He said No. Now, this was when Jesus came into the picture because nothing could redeem you and I except the precious blood of Jesus.
Jesus’ blood came and cleansed Itofa and every single human of every tribe, race and color. How precious (thank you Jesus!) that was not all, grace also came for you and I – you know what grace does? It doesn’t keep you from sin but changes your whole perception totally to sin.  That is why you’ll find porn addicts, alcoholics and people who you thought could not be saved living free, it’s because of grace and the precious blood of Jesus.
One of the greatest decisions I ever made was coming to Jesus and letting him lead the way. If you are a Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, atheist or even a pantheist, Jesus loves you. I never wrote this with Christians in mind but for every single person who believes life can be better after here. I know not so many will be patient to read to this point but if you did, this is not a sermon – I just want to make common sense.
Am I ready? I don’t know: what if after reading this post the resounding trumpet that has long been talked about sounds, where will I find myself? Have I really lived the life that reflected Jesus? Did my name make the ‘Book of Life’? Have I just been selfish about your love? Is there pride? Why can’t I just be bold about my faith to all of my friends? Am I ever going to come out of this habit? Will God ever forgive a person like me? Do you find it hard to pray and read the bible or is lying a second nature? We all have where we belong but the good news is God’s grace has come for all of us.
I just want to share a short prayer with you:
Thank you father for this friend, I know Lord you know all of our names and it’s your pleasure to see us all in heaven, father I pray that whatever this friend is struggling with that you extend your hand of grace and pull him/her up and Lord if for any reason his/her name hasn’t been written in the Book of Life, let your cleansing blood purify them from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet and Lord let a new and beautiful heart be given to them that peace and joy will indeed flood their hearts, thank you Lord for an answered prayer, Amen!
God bless you and have a great week ahead.

  2. Such a caring, honest post from the heart. The death of someone we know, often in Canada as "before their time", when they die young can be very unsettling.

For me anyways, it causes me to reflect on my life, my faith, and am I making any difference with those around me.

Reading this post, I can tell the death has made an impact. Am sincerely sorry for you and the immediate family and friends. My prayers are with each at this time.

    Sincerely, Carl
